June 2022 Update

Greetings!

June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We ask our Lord to give us the grace to do His holy will. There are some updates for you regarding Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope, the new High School in the Catholic tradition opening its doors in the fall of 2023.

Join the enthusiasm and excitement surrounding this tremendous opportunity to form High
Schoolers in a Christ-centered environment. Our Lord Jesus Christ said that you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free (cf. John 8:32). With so much confusion in the world, our Catholic Church stands as the pilar and bulwark of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15), and Chesterton Academy, faithful to the Magisterium, forms its students to seek that truth which sets us free.

UPDATES

• Location: Based on the responses that we have received thus far in our parent interest survey we are looking for a location in the central Rhode Island / general Warwick area. Members of the Chesterton Board have begun looking at properties. We hope to secure our location as soon as possible. Please encourage anyone you know that might consider sending their kids to Chesterton to complete the parent interest survey.
  
  
• Search for Headmaster and Call for Teachers: We have received some interest and are in the process of reviewing resumes. If you are interested in applying for either the headmaster position or to serve as a teacher, have questions, or would like to submit your resume please email info@chestertonri.org.
  
  
• If you haven’t caught our latest webinar with Dr. Eric DeMeuse, Headmaster at
  Chesterton Academy of Milwaukee, you can watch the recording.
  
  
• We need you! To help spread the word, to volunteer with your talents. Can you help with fundraising, event planning, finance/accounting, marketing/social media, strategic planning, etc.? Let us know.

FUNDRAISING

• We have a generous donor who recognizes the value of bringing to Rhode Island a High School in the Catholic tradition committed to Christ-centered classical education.  Our anonymous donor will match up to $125,000! Please participate in our initial goal of raising the necessary funds to fully reach that match.
  
  
• Our main goal is to raise $500,000 by August 2023.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Chesterton Café! Board member Megan Reilly and her husband Mike are hosting an
event at their house in Wickford. Take this opportunity to grab a cup of coffee and learn

more about the Chesterton Academy experience. Children are welcome. Tuesday, July 12 at 10:30 AM.

Chesterton Jamboree.  Hear from Fr. Barrow and others to learn the value of a Chesterton education and how you can play a pivotal role in the success of our mission.  Event will take place in Pawtucket RI.  Thursday, July 28 at 7:30 PM.
