Lessons and Carols

The event will be preceded by a harp prelude by Katherine O'Neill of The Grateful Harp (see her website here) at 6:00pm, and followed by a dessert reception to which all are invited. 

Registration is not required but will help us with anticipating numbers for the service.

Come visit and celebrate the anticipation of Our Lord’s incarnation. Hear the Chesterton students sing The Festival of Lessons and Carols, a service dating back to the 19th century, which tells the story of the Fall, the Messianic promise, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission. Each lesson is followed by a carol or hymn that reflects on the lesson’s message and a brief prayer.
