Chesterton Arts Week

The fine arts are fundamental to our classical approach to education. They cultivate a love for the beautiful, encourage students to take risks, and help them encounter their own humanity by stepping into the tradition that includes great artists like Shakespeare, Caravaggio, and Palestrina. Take advantage of the opportunity to experience Chesterton through the arts this summer!

Lessons and Carols

Come visit and celebrate the anticipation of Our Lord’s incarnation. Hear the Chesterton students sing The Festival of Lessons and Carols, a service dating back to the 19th century, which tells the story of the Fall, the Messianic promise, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission. Each lesson is followed by a carol or hymn that reflects on the lesson’s message and a brief prayer.

Chesterton Academy President Featured at St. John's Seminary Panel Discussion

America’s vast parochial school system was envisioned by Catholic clergy, built by religious sisters, and sustained by generous laity. It has been called a “wonder of the world.” Today, religious disaffiliation, economic challenges, and declining vocations have radically changed – and threatened -- the future of Catholic education in the United States. But there are signs of hope. Join us on April 26 to hear from 3 Catholic school leaders about their visions of Catholic education, the role of clergy and seminaries, and the renewal of American Catholic education.
